Arsenal midfielder Partey pulls out of Ghana squad for Super Eagles match

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has turned down the invitation from Ghana to play in this Friday’s friendly game with Nigeria.
Partey has yet to feature for the Gunners this year, as he is still recovering from an injury.
The 30-year-old suffered a groin injury in November last year and had to undergo surgery.

He was scheduled to return in early February but suffered a setback with the same injury.
His first minutes came in the 6-0 win at Sheffield United in early March.
This means Partey has played just 276 minutes of Premier League football this season.
The Black Stars had called up the Arsenal player for their upcoming friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda, but Partey is understood to have recused himself from national team selection as he attempts to reach full fitness.
